Ureteral cancer is a form of cancer that begins in cells that lines the inside of the tubes of your bladder (ureters). Ureters are part of the urinary tract, which holds urine to the bladder formed by the kidneys. Ureteral cancer is rare. This happens more commonly in elderly individuals and in persons with whom bladder cancer has been diagnosed historically. Ureteral cancer has a close connection with the cancer of the bladder. Cells in which the ureters are linear are the same kind of cells in the bladder.
